More weekends

I think I've started to figure out this "weekend" thing. You get to take time off of work and do other things! For instance, Memorial Day involved barbecue with friends in Brattleboro:

The girls

The boys

I stayed in Brattleboro for the week so that GreenRiver.org could participate in Rails Day (a contest to build the best web application possible in 24 hours). Unfortunately, we, um, well, we kinda misread the calendar, so we got started 14 hours late and one of our team members couldn't join us. So instead of having 3 people working for 24 hours, we had 2 people (myself and Ben) working for 10 hours. It was still fun, though, and we built a pretty decent application (see Fichebowl). Also up that weekend was The Strolling of the Heifers:

The cows

More cows

Finally, this weekend I met a dear friend that I haven't seen since high school. Our 10 year reunion is happening this summer, but I won't be able to make it to Sandy, OR this summer. So she and I had a little DC reunion, then she took Solveig and I to see her husband in the Washington Improv Theater's Neutrino Video Project (awesome improv video (they film it while you watch it!)). And today I checked out the Capital Pride street festival:

DC Cowboys

DC Kings

Ta ta for now! Back to the work week...
