Variants of Go

I just finished reading A Family for Go, which at first had me convinced that standard Go is (and will remain) the most consistently interesting version. However it looks like the authors decided to save the best variants for last. I must admit that Simultaneous Capture looks like it might be fun to play with other Go fans, and Rosette looks like it might be great for people that find standard Go a little boring.

Regardless of whether I get to play either one soon, one thing is certain: I’ll be picking up a subscription to the magazine this article came from, Abstract Games Magazine.
